About Me.
A true New Jersey native, exit 5 of the turnpike specifically. I was born in Willingboro, New Jersey to two loving parents: Yadira Flores, an authentic Boriqua raised in Brooklyn, New York, and Gary Salley, a military brat raised in my hometown. Immediately after graduating Maple Shade highschool in 2015, I attended Hampton University where I would be the fourth generation legacy from my father’s side. In 2017, I followed in the Salley footsteps and became a proud member of the finest D9 organization, the Rho Alpha Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated, where I could fulfill my lifetime calling to education and the movement toward women empowerment. In Virginia, I challenged myself to take on the role of a news reporter with WAVY10 news of Portsmouth, Virginia from an internship, and maintain my role as a writer and assistant producer for WHOV at Hampton University.
Although Covid-19 placed a hold on our lives, I took the initiative to create a business utilizing my hobbies and passions of writing, photography, and graphic design. I was submerging myself into the world of social media, creative design, marketing, and management for various companies. While I attended Temple University for my Master’s degree, I designed more than three award-winning websites, directed the short-film ‘CHOICES’, and created a three-part docuseries all while pregnant with my first child, Dominic. I shortly married my childhood sweetheart, and moved to Florida where he could serve the rest of his Air Force contract.
Experiencing various job roles within my media and journalism driven background, I have created a portfolio that I am proud of. The drive for growth in this competitive field is constant, so I believe that my expertise will take me onto more avenues in the field I love.
